Hey man, I'm running a Vinten Pro 5, with single stage sticks. All I can say is it's amazing. Vinten seems to have thought of everything with it. Every little thing that you can think of to make things easier for us camera guys is on it. I HIGHTLY recommend it. Take a look at this video, sort of explains a bit about the tripod. Its the first one in the video... Vinten Pro-5 Video... Vinten's Website

Really cool photo. Good POD. Is this an HDR? Or is it photoshopped?

The Vinten legs have a max load of 55 pounds, the Manfrotto is 33. The Vinten uses whats called Pozi Loc technology. It's like leg clamps on other tripods, except their design is just a switch, theirs no clamping. You turn the knob and it clicks. Much easier on the hands I might add, no need to keep tightening. The Vintens are also lighter and higher quality.

I have a 35mm adapter in my house right now actually. Just waiting on a step ring, and a canon 50mm lense.

I did look into Manfrotto's. I looked into a 501hdv head and 525MVB sticks. Manfrotto and Vinten are both owned by the same company (Vitec), therefore the 501 head is exactly the same as this Pro5 head. This head actually came in a box with a Manfrotto label. However the Vinten sticks are much better than the Manfrottos. That is why I chose this system.

It would cost you about $1000USD, depending on where you got it. It is a Vinten ProTouch 5. It's already amazing and I highly recommend it. And I am stoked to do some real mtb filming with it. It hasn't gotten it's chance yet. The video thats coming out in a few hours wasn't filmed with it. Their will then be a pause for a couple months, and then.. ohhhhhhh and then. Lol. Should be good. Thanks for the question. -ep

But our photos and videos aren't about what you've raced on. They are about the trails that we ride, the places we go and the fun we have while were their.
